I have been asking myself this for quite some time.
What is beauty, and why does it affect the way someone thinks of you
Why does one's appearence mean the world to some people?
And I'm kind of talking about like "hotness" I guess, lol.
....
I think everyone is beautiful. Then again, I don't think I'm so great as to judge someone on their looks. Acually, I would much rather talk and be with someone who has that kind of personality that just makes you want to squee with happiness when you talk to them.
You get what I'm sayin'?
I do know for a fact that some people judge on first looks...not personality, but how "hot" or "sexy" they are. What's the point of being with soemone if all you care about is how they look? I don't really see how you can have an acual relationship with someone, if you don't love them for who they really are inside. It baffles me completely.
Does it matter that much to you that your girlfriend or boyfriend looks like whatever movie actor/actres? It shouldn't. I kind of see this like buying a car. Usually, people keep the same car for some amount of time (being in a relationship with someone). In a way, you and that particular car (person), form a bond. And are you really going to buy a car you can't afford just to look good? Yes, some people do. They do the same to their lovers, or butt buddies or whatever.
Maybe I'm just going on about nothing, but this really bothers me. Why should someone be less attractive than another person, just because they don't have the same attributes? So a girl doesn't wear make-up or have huge boobies...does that mean they're less of a female? Because a guy doesn't have a six-pack, does that mean he's less of a male? No.
People look for beauty in all the wrong places. It's fine to love someone for their appearence, I'm not sayin' it's not. But for you to judge someone who may not be as physically attractive as someonelse, before you even get to know them, is wrong. How will you ever expect to find someone to love, when you base it off looks and looks alone? Looks don't equal an instant bond between two people.
Again, I'm not saying you can't love someone for their looks, but why not love them for their attitude or intelligence as a human being? Apearence is not everything...well, not to me.

I'm leaving this Friday. So no more of me for...awhile, I can say that. I really will miss all of you! But, I'm going back to live with my mom. We can keep in touch if you want though. Note me or whatever with a cell phone number, house phone...yeah.
Maybe I'll post another journal tomorrow....Maybe lol. And some art too!
